I am a public policy and political researcher, with a particular interest in localism and democracy.  Currently I am a scrutiny manager for the London Assembly, the body elected to scrutinise the Mayor of London; I manage investigations on behalf of the Economy Committee.

I am also a Research Associate for Democratic Audit and the Public Policy Group at the London School of Economics. I was a researcher and managing editor at Democratic Audit in 2013-14.

My previous experience includes roles at JMC Partners, London Councils, Alzheimer’s Society, the New Local Government Network, Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion and with Ann Coffey MP. I was also the founding editor of the policy blog Modest Proposals.

This websites collates my articles for various publications, sharing research findings, commentary and reviews.
